First, identify where registration stops
Exness registration generally creates access to a Personal Area, where you manage your profile and trading accounts. Identity verification and creating a live MT4 or MT5 account are separate steps; completing one does not necessarily complete the others.
Before retrying:
- Use the official Exness website or its official app, not a signup link sent by an unknown contact.
- Check your country of residence, email address and phone number for mistakes.
- Follow the password requirements displayed on the current registration form.
- Record the exact error message, but never share passwords or verification codes.
Common Exness account creation issues
1. Your country is unavailable
If your country is absent from the residence selector or registration says service is unavailable, this may reflect legal restrictions rather than a technical fault. Exness does not offer retail accounts everywhere.
Do not select another country or use a VPN to bypass restrictions. Your residence must match the information you can verify. Ask official support whether your location is eligible; if not, consider a broker authorised to serve residents there.
2. An email or SMS code never arrives
Check spam folders, email spelling and your phone’s country code. Mobile reception, carrier filtering and temporary delivery delays can also interfere.
Wait for the resend timer shown on screen rather than requesting codes continuously. Use the most recent code, since earlier codes may no longer work. If delivery still fails, contact support through an official channel. Never give a code to someone claiming they need it to finish registration for you.
3. Your email is already registered
You may already have a Personal Area, even if you never funded an account. Try the official password-reset process instead of repeatedly registering with the same email.
A Personal Area login and trading-platform credentials serve different purposes. MT4 or MT5 typically requires the trading account number, trading password and correct server—not simply your registration email.
4. Identity or address documents are rejected
Common causes include expired documents, glare, cropped edges, unreadable text and details that do not match your profile. Accepted documents and recency requirements vary; follow the instructions displayed in your Personal Area.
- Upload a clear colour image showing the complete document.
- Include both sides if requested.
- Check that your legal name and date of birth match your profile.
- For address verification, use an accepted document showing your name, address and required date.
Do not edit document details or submit someone else’s paperwork. If a genuine name change or transliteration difference causes a mismatch, ask support what evidence is needed.
5. Verification remains pending
A pending application is not necessarily rejected. Additional checks, submission quality and application volumes can affect processing. Treat any advertised review timeframe as an estimate, not a guarantee.
Check your Personal Area and registered email for requests. Avoid uploading the same documents repeatedly unless instructed. If the displayed timeframe has passed, provide support with the submission date and exact status message.
6. The form freezes or a trading account will not open
Update your browser or app, try a private browsing window, or clear site-specific cookies. Temporarily disable extensions that may block essential scripts. Avoid public Wi-Fi when submitting identity documents.
If registration works but trading-account creation fails, check whether profile steps remain incomplete and whether your chosen account type or platform is available. An MT4 account cannot simply be accessed through MT5.
Exness or Vantage: which should you consider?
Exness may remain suitable if it serves your jurisdiction and the problem is a correctable signup error. A missing SMS alone is not a strong reason to switch brokers. Compare the relevant legal entity, trading costs, platform choices and withdrawal conditions before deciding.
Our featured alternative, Vantage, has FCA- and ASIC-regulated entities within its group. That does not mean every Vantage customer receives those entities’ protections: your residence determines which entity can onboard you. Check the legal agreement and regulator register before applying.
Vantage advertises raw spreads from 0.0 pips on eligible accounts; these are advertised minimums, not typical all-in costs. Commissions, variable spreads and overnight financing may apply. Its platform offering includes MT4, MT5 and TradingView, subject to account and regional availability. Both brokers require eligibility and identity checks, so switching will not bypass verification.
If Vantage is available where you live, review its terms and fees before proceeding: Open a Vantage account.
CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Vantage is an advertising partner; we may earn a commission.
