Before you follow a video tutorial
Start on the official Exness website rather than a registration link posted in a video’s comments. Confirm that Exness accepts residents of your country and read the legal entity information presented during signup. Regulation and client protections attach to that entity—not automatically to every company in the Exness group.
Have the following ready:
- An email address and phone number you control.
- Accurate personal details matching your identification.
- A valid identity document, such as an accepted passport or national ID.
- Proof of address if requested, using an accepted document type and date range.
Never give a video creator your password, verification codes or remote access to your device. Avoid tutorials promising guaranteed profits or asking you to send deposits to a personal wallet.
Exness account opening: the screen-by-screen guide
1. Register your Personal Area
Select the registration option on the official website. Enter your country of residence, email address and a strong, unique password, then complete the declarations shown. Use your actual residence; choosing another country to bypass restrictions can cause verification and withdrawal problems.
Your Personal Area is the dashboard for managing accounts, verification and payments. It is separate from the trading account you use in a platform.
2. Complete the profile and verification prompts
Follow the dashboard instructions to verify your contact details and complete the requested personal and financial information. You may be asked about employment, income, trading experience and the source of your funds.
Upload clear, complete document images when prompted. Names and other details should match your application. Verification timing varies, and additional checks may be necessary. Follow the current requirements displayed in your dashboard rather than a video’s promised approval time.
3. Choose a demo or real trading account
A demo account is a sensible first step for learning order entry without risking real money. Its execution and results do not necessarily reflect live trading.
For a real account, review the available account types. Exness commonly offers Standard and professional account categories, including Raw Spread, Zero and Pro, subject to availability. Compare:
- Spread structure and any commission.
- Applicable initial deposit requirements.
- Available instruments and platform compatibility.
- Account currency, leverage and margin rules.
Do not select an account solely because a tutorial highlights advertised spreads from 0.0 pips. Minimum spreads are not typical costs across every instrument or market condition.
4. Set up the trading platform
Choose the platform supported by your selected account, such as MT4 or MT5. Download software through official sources. Use the trading account number, server and trading password shown or configured during setup—not simply your Personal Area email login.
If a login fails, check the server and platform version first. An MT4 account does not log in to MT5.
5. Review funding before depositing
Check the payment methods available in your Personal Area, including applicable minimums, currency conversion and withdrawal conditions. Payment accounts generally need to satisfy ownership and verification requirements.
There is no single deposit figure that reliably applies to every Exness account, payment method and country. Use the current amount displayed for your selection. Start only with money you can afford to lose; opening an account does not require taking an immediate trade.
Exness versus Vantage: which should you consider?
Exness may suit traders seeking a choice of account pricing structures and familiar MetaTrader platforms, where locally available. Its onboarding dashboard can help you track outstanding verification steps. Still, assess the actual contracting entity, total trading costs and withdrawal rules before deciding.
Vantage is our featured alternative. The Vantage group includes FCA- and ASIC-regulated entities, but those licences do not mean every international applicant receives UK or Australian protections. Check which entity would hold your account and which protections apply.
Vantage advertises raw spreads from 0.0 pips on relevant accounts, with commissions applying. It offers MT4, MT5 and TradingView access, subject to account, entity and regional availability. Compare typical spreads plus commissions, overnight financing and conversion costs—not just advertised minimums.
If its entity, platform access and pricing fit your needs, Open a Vantage account. Try a demo first if you are unfamiliar with leveraged trading.
CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Vantage is an advertising partner; we may earn a commission.
