Exness Account Types and Their Fee Structure

Last updated · SpreadComparison

Exness offers five main trading account types: Standard, Standard Cent, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero. Their main differences are spreads, trading commissions, available instruments and entry requirements. Standard accounts generally bundle trading costs into the spread, while Raw Spread and Zero charge separate commissions. The cheapest choice depends on what you trade, when you trade and how long you hold positions—not simply the lowest advertised spread.

Considering Vantage? Check the contracting company, account costs and withdrawal conditions before applying. An international referral destination does not automatically provide an FCA-regulated UK account.

Methodology: spreads are typical values recorded on each broker's raw/standard retail account during London–New York overlap hours, taken from the brokers' own published pricing pages and live platform data, then averaged. Commission is stated separately where it applies. Spreads are variable and widen around news and outside main sessions.

Exness account types at a glance

The figures below are advertised minimums, not typical live trading costs. Spreads can widen around news, market openings and periods of low liquidity. Availability and conditions vary by country, Exness entity and instrument; verify the current specifications before funding.

| Account | Advertised spread from | Trading commission | Main use case |

|---|---|---|---|

| Standard | 0.2 pips | No separate trading commission | Straightforward spread-based pricing |

| Standard Cent | 0.3 pips | No separate trading commission | Smaller-scale live trading using cent lots |

| Pro | 0.1 pips | No separate trading commission | Tighter advertised spread-only pricing |

| Raw Spread | 0.0 pips | Up to $3.50 per lot per side | Comparing spreads plus a separate commission |

| Zero | 0.0 pips | From $0.05 per lot per side | Instrument-specific zero-spread pricing with commission |

Standard and Standard Cent

Standard is the simplest starting point for traders who prefer not to calculate a separate commission. However, commission-free does not mean cost-free: you still pay the bid–ask spread and potentially overnight charges.

Standard Cent displays balances in cents and uses cent lots, allowing smaller monetary exposure than conventional lot sizes. Its instrument selection is narrower, and platform availability can differ from Standard. Check contract sizes carefully rather than assuming one cent lot equals one standard lot.

For these accounts, the initial deposit generally depends on the payment method and region rather than one universal minimum.

Pro, Raw Spread and Zero

Pro combines lower advertised starting spreads with no separate trading commission. Execution conditions can differ by instrument and platform, so review whether instant or market execution applies.

Raw Spread separates the spread from commission. At the advertised maximum of $3.50 per lot per side, opening and closing a one-lot position costs $7 in commission, before spread and any overnight charges.

Zero advertises zero spreads on selected instruments for substantial portions of the trading day, subject to conditions. It does not mean every market is always spread-free. Its advertised commission starts at $0.05 per lot per side, but actual rates vary by instrument and can be considerably higher.

Professional accounts commonly have an advertised initial deposit starting at $200, with higher requirements in some regions. Confirm the requirement in your Personal Area.

How to calculate the actual trading cost

Compare spread + round-trip commission + any overnight financing, rather than ranking accounts by their starting spreads alone.

For example, on one standard lot of EUR/USD in a USD account, one pip is approximately $10. A hypothetical 0.8-pip spread costs about $8. A hypothetical 0.1-pip spread plus $7 round-trip commission also costs about $8. These are illustrations, not typical Exness quotes.

Exness versus Vantage

Exness offers useful flexibility between spread-only and commission-based pricing. Standard Cent can also appeal to traders testing live execution with smaller exposure. Nevertheless, compare the legal entity serving you, not just the brand name.

Vantage is our featured alternative. The group includes FCA- and ASIC-regulated entities, although your residence determines which entity can serve you. Those regulatory protections do not automatically apply to accounts opened with other group entities.

Vantage advertises raw spreads from 0.0 pips on relevant accounts, with separate commissions. It offers MT4, MT5 and TradingView, subject to entity, account and regional availability. Compare commissions, typical spreads during your trading hours, financing charges and platform access before choosing.

Neither broker’s advertised minimum spread guarantees a lower total cost. Test comparable instruments and position sizes on demo accounts, then check live contract specifications.

FAQ

Which Exness account is cheapest?

There is no universal cheapest account. Compare typical spreads plus round-trip commission for your instruments, adding swaps if you hold overnight.

Does Exness charge commission on Standard accounts?

Standard and Standard Cent advertise no separate trading commission. Spread costs and applicable overnight or conversion costs still matter.

What is the difference between Raw Spread and Zero?

Raw Spread advertises commission up to $3.50 per lot per side. Zero uses instrument-specific commissions and advertises zero spreads under defined conditions.

Are all Exness accounts swap-free?

Do not assume so. Swap-free treatment depends on eligibility and instrument conditions. Check your account’s current status and applicable terms before holding overnight.
