What are Exness’s average spreads?
There is no single meaningful Exness average spread covering every account and trading condition. A useful figure must identify the currency pair, account type, measurement period and sampling method. Without those details, a spread table can give a misleading impression of likely costs.
This page does not present independently verified 2026 pair-by-pair averages. Instead, the advertised account-level starting points below provide context—not estimates of what you will always pay.
| Exness account | Advertised starting spread | Commission structure |
|---|---:|---|
| Standard | From 0.2 pips | No separate trading commission |
| Pro | From 0.1 pips | No separate trading commission |
| Raw Spread | From 0.0 pips | Advertised commission up to $3.50 per lot, per side |
| Zero | From 0.0 pips | Instrument-dependent commission |
These are advertised account specifications, not average spreads for every major pair. Confirm current terms on the Exness website available in your jurisdiction; account availability and conditions may differ.
Which major pairs should you compare?
Use the same account and observation window when checking these pairs:
| Currency pair | What matters when assessing typical spreads |
|---|---|
| EUR/USD | Usually among the tightest majors because of deep liquidity |
| GBP/USD | Can widen noticeably around UK and US economic releases |
| USD/JPY | Sensitive to Japanese policy announcements and US rate expectations |
| USD/CHF | Compare normal-session pricing with quieter trading periods |
| AUD/USD | Australian releases and Asia-Pacific liquidity can affect pricing |
| USD/CAD | Canadian and US data releases can produce short-lived widening |
| NZD/USD | Often less liquid than EUR/USD, so compare observed costs carefully |
These observations describe general forex market behaviour, not measured Exness averages or a guaranteed ranking.
Calculate the full cost, not just the spread
A raw-spread account is not automatically cheaper than a commission-free account. Compare spread plus round-trip commission, then consider execution and any overnight financing.
For a standard lot of EUR/USD, one pip is approximately $10 when measured in US dollars. As an illustrative calculation, a 0.2-pip spread plus $7 round-trip commission produces an approximate spread-and-commission cost of $9, or 0.9 pips. A commission-free 0.8-pip spread would cost approximately $8 under the same assumptions.
Those figures are examples, not observed Exness prices. Pip values differ by pair and account currency. Slippage can change execution costs, while swaps or other applicable overnight charges matter if you hold positions beyond the relevant cutoff.
How to measure a useful average
- Match your strategy: sample during the hours you actually trade, rather than relying on a daily minimum.
- Keep conditions consistent: compare the same pair, account type and position size.
- Record multiple days: include ordinary sessions and relevant economic announcements.
- Check more than the mean: median spreads and occasional wide readings reveal conditions an average can hide.
- Add commissions: convert round-trip charges into pips before comparing accounts.
Demo quotes can help you learn the platform, but they do not establish the execution quality or costs you will receive on a live account.
Exness versus Vantage
Exness offers a useful choice between commission-free and commission-based pricing. That flexibility can suit traders who want to compare a simpler spread-only account with lower displayed spreads and separate charges. Its advertised minimums are competitive, but the best account depends on your actual trading pattern.
Vantage is our featured alternative. The Vantage group includes FCA- and ASIC-regulated entities, advertises raw spreads from 0.0 pips, and offers MT4, MT5 and TradingView access, subject to account and regional availability.
Regulation applies to the specific legal entity holding your account—not automatically to every company using the same brand. Check your client agreement, regulator register and applicable protections before funding either broker. An international account does not necessarily receive UK or Australian protections.
Compare both brokers using:
- Typical observed spreads on your preferred majors.
- Round-trip commission and overnight holding costs.
- Platform availability and execution during your trading hours.
- The contracting entity, withdrawal terms and local eligibility.
If Vantage fits those requirements, Open a Vantage account. Treat advertised zero-pip starting spreads as a reason to investigate—not proof of lower overall costs.
CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Vantage is an advertising partner; we may earn a commission.
