When can you use a different bank?
There are three situations to distinguish:
- Another account in your own name: It may be usable if Exness supports that bank-transfer route and its payment rules permit the change. Matching ownership is necessary, but does not by itself guarantee acceptance.
- An account belonging to another person: Do not use a spouse’s, friend’s, or business associate’s bank account for a personal trading account. Third-party payment restrictions generally prevent this.
- A bank account replacing a closed account: Contact Exness support before requesting the withdrawal. You may need evidence that the old account is closed and that you own the replacement.
The name on the receiving account should match your verified Exness identity. If your bank records use a different spelling or a former legal name, ask what documentation is needed before proceeding.
Your deposit method matters
A withdrawal is not simply a transfer to any bank details you enter. Brokers apply payment-source and anti-money-laundering controls, and the rules can differ between bank transfers, cards, and electronic wallets.
If you deposited by bank transfer
Check whether the withdrawal form allows a different receiving account and whether additional verification is required. Do not assume that a previously successful deposit makes every account you own eligible for withdrawals.
If you deposited by card or e-wallet
A bank withdrawal may not replace an applicable card-refund or payment-method requirement. Depending on the methods and rules shown for your account, returning deposited funds and withdrawing profits may follow different routes.
If you used several funding methods, ask whether any refund priority or allocation requirement applies. Avoid making a small deposit through a new method solely to “unlock” withdrawals: it may not work and can create additional payment checks.
How to check before requesting a withdrawal
1. Sign in to your Exness Personal Area. Open the withdrawal section and review the payment methods available for your account.
2. Read the selected method’s conditions. Check currency, account ownership, advertised processing times, transaction limits, and any displayed charges.
3. Confirm your verification status. Complete any outstanding identity or payment-account verification requested by Exness.
4. Ask support about the exact change. Explain your original deposit method and whether the new bank account is in your name.
5. Submit only after confirming eligibility. Save the transaction reference and monitor its status.
A useful support message is: “I deposited using [method]. Can I withdraw to another bank account in my own name in [country]? Please confirm any refund requirements and documents needed.” Never share passwords, PINs, or one-time security codes.
What if the original bank account is closed?
Do not send funds to closed account details hoping the payment will be redirected. Ask Exness for its alternative-destination procedure first. Support may request a closure letter, a bank statement, or other evidence of ownership, but the exact requirements depend on your case.
If a withdrawal has already been submitted, contact support promptly. Whether it can be stopped depends on its processing stage. Returned transfers can take additional time, and bank or intermediary charges may apply.
Featured alternative: Vantage
Exness may suit traders who value its available payment options and account features. However, withdrawal flexibility should be assessed against your specific country and funding route—not a general promise of fast access to funds.
Our featured alternative, Vantage, has FCA- and ASIC-regulated entities within its group, advertises raw spreads from 0.0 pips on applicable accounts, and offers MT4, MT5, and TradingView, subject to entity and account availability. Raw-spread accounts may charge commission; advertised minimum spreads are not typical all-in trading costs.
Before switching, compare:
- The legal entity that will hold your account and its protections.
- Supported local banks, currencies, and withdrawal methods.
- Advertised withdrawal conditions, commissions, and conversion costs.
FCA or ASIC oversight does not automatically apply to every Vantage customer. Check your client agreement. Vantage also applies ownership and payment checks, so switching brokers is not a workaround for third-party withdrawal restrictions.
Open a Vantage account if its available services fit your needs, after reviewing the relevant terms.
CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Vantage is an advertising partner; we may earn a commission.
