Exness Commission Fees Explained

Last updated · SpreadComparison

Exness commission fees depend mainly on your account type and the instrument you trade. Standard and Pro accounts generally have no separate trading commission, while Raw Spread and Zero accounts charge commission alongside their spreads. However, “commission-free” does not mean trading is free. This guide explains the advertised pricing structure, shows how to calculate a round-trip charge, and compares Exness with our featured alternative, Vantage. Always confirm current fees with the Exness entity serving your country.

Quick answer (2026)

Considering Vantage? Check the contracting company, account costs and withdrawal conditions before applying. An international referral destination does not automatically provide an FCA-regulated UK account.

Professional-client and offshore accounts give up FCA protections such as negative balance protection and FSCS cover.

Methodology: spreads are typical values recorded on each broker's raw/standard retail account during London–New York overlap hours, taken from the brokers' own published pricing pages and live platform data, then averaged. Commission is stated separately where it applies. Spreads are variable and widen around news and outside main sessions.

Which Exness accounts charge commission?

Exness advertises the following account pricing. Availability, instrument coverage and conditions can vary by entity, so treat these as a starting point rather than a personalised quote.

| Account | Advertised trading commission | Advertised spreads from |

|---|---|---|

| Standard | No separate commission | 0.2 pips |

| Standard Cent | No separate commission | 0.3 pips |

| Pro | No separate commission | 0.1 pips |

| Raw Spread | Up to US$3.50 per lot, per side | 0.0 pips |

| Zero | From US$0.05 per lot, per side | 0.0 pips |

These are advertised minimum spreads, not typical execution costs. Actual spreads can widen with volatility, reduced liquidity and market openings. Standard Cent uses cent-denominated balances and cent lots: do not assume its displayed lot size represents the same exposure as a standard lot.

Raw Spread versus Zero

Raw Spread combines tight variable spreads with instrument-specific commission, advertised at up to US$3.50 per lot per side. Zero commissions start lower in the headline pricing, but the applicable rate depends on the symbol. The lowest advertised rate is not a universal forex commission.

Exness advertises zero spreads on selected instruments under specified conditions. That does not mean every instrument has a zero spread throughout the trading day. Check the exact symbol’s commission and spread conditions before choosing between these accounts.

How to calculate Exness commission

“Per side” means one charge for opening a position and another for closing it. A round trip includes both.

Round-trip commission = commission per lot per side × lots traded × 2.

For an instrument priced at the advertised US$3.50 per lot per side:

Account-currency conversion can affect the amount shown on your statement. Confirm how the platform books commission rather than assuming each charge will appear separately at execution.

Compare commission and spread together

On EUR/USD, one standard lot has a pip value of approximately US$10 in a USD account. A US$7 round-trip commission therefore equates to about 0.7 pips. If the actual spread were 0.2 pips, the combined spread-and-commission cost would be approximately 0.9 pips, excluding slippage and overnight charges.

This is an illustration, not a typical Exness spread quote. A commission-free account with a narrower total cost could be cheaper for the same trade.

Other costs to check

Commission is only one part of your trading costs:

Check the live account pricing and instrument specifications before trading, particularly for gold, indices and other non-forex products whose contract sizes differ.

Exness versus Vantage: which pricing fits?

Exness offers a useful choice between spread-only pricing and commission-based accounts. Traders who value simple cost tracking may prefer Standard or Pro; frequent traders may find Raw Spread or Zero worth comparing using actual execution records.

Vantage is our featured alternative. The group includes FCA- and ASIC-regulated entities and advertises raw spreads from 0.0 pips. It offers MT4, MT5 and TradingView connectivity, subject to entity, account and regional availability.

Do not assume that every Vantage customer receives FCA or ASIC protections: your contracting entity determines the applicable rules and protections. Compare its current round-trip commission, typical spreads, overnight financing and execution conditions against the equivalent Exness account.

Open a Vantage account, or review its entity-specific terms first. Neither broker is automatically cheaper across every instrument or trading style.
