Does Exness Standard Plus charge commission?
Exness advertises its regular Standard account without a separate trading commission. However, that does not independently establish the terms of every account labelled Standard Plus. Treat Standard Plus as an account designation to verify, rather than automatically applying figures from the regular Standard account or a third-party review.
If your Standard Plus account specification says “No commission” or “0 commission,” there should be no separate execution commission for trades covered by those terms. You still pay the spread, and overnight financing or other applicable charges can affect the total cost.
Avoid relying on an introducing broker’s headline alone. Ask Exness to confirm the exact account type, legal entity and instrument if the pricing is unclear.
How to check your actual commission
Before depositing or placing a live trade, check the following:
- Account details: Open your Exness Personal Area and confirm the full account name and trading server.
- Pricing schedule: Look for the commission field, spread terms and any instrument-specific exceptions.
- Commission basis: If a fee is listed, establish whether it is per lot, per side or for the complete opening-and-closing transaction.
- Trading history: Review commission, swap and other charge entries in your platform’s trade report.
- Written confirmation: Ask support whether Standard Plus has different spreads or charges from Standard under your registration.
A useful support question is: “For my Standard Plus account, what commission applies to EUR/USD per standard lot, per side, and are there any partner-related pricing differences?”
Why “per side” matters
A commission quoted per side normally applies separately when opening and closing a position. An advertised round-turn commission covers both. Comparing those figures without adjusting their basis can make one account appear cheaper when it is not.
Zero commission does not mean zero trading costs
Spread
The spread is the difference between the bid and ask price. On a spread-based account, it is the main immediate trading cost. Spreads are variable and can widen during news, thin liquidity or daily rollover.
For illustration, a hypothetical 1.2-pip spread on one standard lot of EUR/USD represents approximately $12 when the pip value is $10 in a USD-denominated account. This is a calculation example, not an advertised or verified Standard Plus spread.
Overnight financing and other charges
Positions held beyond the broker’s rollover time may incur swap charges or credits, depending on the instrument and applicable conditions. Swap-free treatment is subject to eligibility and rules; it should not be assumed to cover every instrument indefinitely.
Also check currency conversion and payment-provider costs. Even where a broker advertises no deposit or withdrawal fee, your bank or payment service may apply its own charges.
Exness versus Vantage: compare total costs
Exness can be a reasonable choice for traders who prefer straightforward spread-based pricing and familiar MetaTrader platforms, subject to local availability. The important question is whether the actual Standard Plus conditions suit your instruments, position sizes and holding periods.
Our featured alternative is Vantage, whose group includes FCA- and ASIC-regulated entities. Those authorisations do not mean every international customer receives UK or Australian regulatory protections: check which legal entity would hold your account.
Vantage advertises raw spreads from 0.0 pips on relevant accounts, with separate commissions generally applying to raw pricing. That minimum is not a typical spread or a guarantee of cheaper execution. Vantage offers MT4, MT5 and TradingView, with platform and account availability dependent on the entity and region.
Compare both brokers using:
- Typical spreads during the hours you actually trade.
- Round-turn commission for the same instrument and trade size.
- Overnight financing for your expected holding period.
- Execution quality, platform availability and applicable regulatory protections.
If those conditions fit your needs, Open a Vantage account. Review the relevant entity’s terms before funding.
Bottom line: Verify the commission field for your exact Exness Standard Plus account. A zero-commission label removes one explicit fee, not the spread or every other trading cost.
CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Vantage is an advertising partner; we may earn a commission.
